02 / A considered approach

Not more paper.
More thought.

A lovely illustration is only part of it. The size, the words, the fold and the feel all need to work together.

  1. 01

    Start with the moment

Who will hold it? What should they know or feel? Define the job of each piece before choosing its shape.

  2. 02

    Make the details belong

Bring typography, botanical illustration and colour into one visual language. Choose a small set of pieces that earns its place.

  3. 03

    Think beyond the artwork

Consider legibility, paper stock, quantities and finishing together. Confirm production details before committing to print.

Your paper project✳
A few useful answers

Before you
put pen to paper.

How do I choose the right pieces?

Start with the information someone needs at each moment. For a gathering, that might mean an invitation, a menu and a thank-you note. For a product, a clear label and one useful insert may be enough. Build around a purpose rather than a long list of extras.

Do I need a fully formed idea?

No. A purpose, an audience and a rough sense of the pieces you need make a useful starting point. The outline builder above helps you gather those thoughts without deciding every design detail.

What should I know before printing?

Confirm the final wording, dimensions, quantity, paper stock, finishing and delivery requirements. Ask your chosen printer about artwork specifications and proofing. A screen preview cannot show the exact colour or texture of a printed piece.

Is botanical paper the same as seed paper?

Here, botanical refers to the plant-inspired illustration and visual style. It does not mean the paper contains seeds. Any recycled content, seed content or material certification needs to be confirmed for the specific stock selected.

Can I order through this website?

This site is a place to explore the paper formats and prepare a project outline. It does not take orders, payments or enquiries. You can download your outline and use it to plan a future project.
